I am lucky enough to be able to start this business not based on what I think will sell, or what I think will make the most sense financially, but solely on what I am passionate about. I have always taken to projects that push me out of my comfort zone and in turn, have progressed my skills further as a creator. I have always dreamed of building a business directed towards my passion for building and creating and now I feel extremely grateful to have the opportunity to do so. A lot of credit is due to all my supportive friends and family who also share similar interests and creativity.

 

The Vision of Black Sprue designs is to never stop progressing as a creator and make design pieces that people are proud to own. I want to create things that push me out of my comfort zone and make me feel proud of the business I’ve created. We live in a world of cheap, fast and easy. Deliver to your door, same-day shipping, machine-made cheap labour soulless products and those products reflect the state of our world. I want to share with others what I find to be the most powerful thing to me, and that’s turning the mundane into the extraordinary. I want to encourage an appreciation for the things we take for granted, to see the beauty in what time and energy can create. What I have to offer is much like you, we’re all creative in one way or another, and I look forward to creating things with you.
